The Chandler Center for the Arts has announced the return of its free summer concert series, scheduled to take place over five Friday nights in July and August. Because the center itself is undergoing renovations that will keep it closed until mid-autumn, the performances will be held at the Chandler Community Center, located at 125 E. Commonwealth Ave. Chandler is about 13 miles west of Queen Creek.
The series begins on July 24 at 7:30 p.m. and continues every Friday night through Aug. 21. Admission to all shows is free, but the venue encourages attendees to submit advance RSVPs. Seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
The lineup features a variety of genres performed by Arizona-based musicians. The opening act is Filipino-American singer-songwriter Ang Sirena, who performs neo-soul and alternative R&B. She released her debut album in 2023 and has since put out additional records.
Other performers include Medio Pinto, a local group known for blending world music with Latin soul. Also scheduled are JD Nash and the Rash of Cash, who play southwestern rock, and The Conveyors, who perform reggae-rock.
The final concert of the series features Stilicho the Band, a traditional Irish folk group that includes more than a dozen musicians. Their performance will showcase traditional Irish and Celtic music.
