The body of a man who had been reported missing from Gilbert has been identified and recovered in the Gila River Indian Community. Gilbert is about 11 miles northwest of Queen Creek.

Keith Edwards, 67, was last seen on June 12 in the Town of Gilbert. Police stated that he left a residence located near the intersection of Cooper and Warner roads on foot and did not return. Because officials were concerned for his health, a Safe Alert was issued to the public.

On June 24, authorities discovered a body south of Gilbert within the Gila River Indian Community. Police confirmed that the remains were identified as Edwards.
