Mesa law enforcement officials confirmed that two individuals have died and two others sustained injuries as a result of a shooting incident that occurred Sunday evening. The event took place near the intersection of Lindsay and Brown roads, located in proximity to a residential neighborhood.

Authorities responded to emergency calls reporting a shooting in the area around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders were unable to save two of the individuals, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining two victims were injured.

Police stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public following the incident. Investigators have not yet determined the cause or motive behind the shooting. It remains unclear what led to the violence.

Mesa is situated approximately 16 miles northwest of Queen Creek.
