Devin Booker scored 43 points to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 131-122 victory over the visiting Golden State Warriors on Saturday at Mortgage Matchup Center. The home team used a dominant third quarter to pull away from a tight contest, while Booker’s scoring barrage proved decisive in front of a crowd of 17,071.
The game began with Phoenix trailing slightly after the first quarter, falling 25-22. However, the Suns responded immediately in the second period, outscoring Golden State 35-29 to take a 57-54 lead at the half. The momentum shifted decisively in the third quarter, where Phoenix exploded for 45 points.
This surge allowed the Suns to build a substantial cushion, leading 102-92 entering the final frame. Although the Warriors managed to close the gap slightly in the fourth quarter, scoring 30 points to Phoenix’s 29, the deficit was too large to overcome.
Booker was the engine for the Suns' offense, finishing with a game-high 43 points. His performance was supported by strong playmaking from Collin Gillespie, who dished out nine assists. Khaman Maluach contributed significantly on the glass, securing nine rebounds for Phoenix. The balanced attack helped the Suns maintain control throughout the second half, particularly during their third-quarter offensive surge.
