Arizona State starting tight end Khamari Anderson will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after injuring his right leg during the team's 24-17 victory over Kansas in London. Coach Kenny Dillingham announced the update Sept. 22.
The injury occurred on the third play of the game. It is Anderson's second leg injury this year; he previously broke his right leg during spring camp.
Dillingham said Anderson's injury has affected the team. "It just sucks for him; he's such a great kid," Dillingham said. "I feel for him. I know the whole team feels for him. It's just a horrible thing to happen."
Dillingham also discussed injuries involving offensive linemen Rob Lapuaho and Wade Helton. Helton was hurt against Texas A&M and was seen wearing a boot and using crutches on the sideline during the Kansas game. Dillingham had previously said Helton would be out for a few weeks.
Lapuaho replaced Helton before being injured during the Kansas game. The source did not provide further details about either offensive lineman's status.
