Running back Bam Knight has successfully secured a position on the Arizona Cardinals' 53-man roster following a notable preseason performance. Knight, who has been known for his aggressive running style, was recognized by head coach Mike LaFleur, who stated, "Bam only knows one way." This marks a significant change from last year when Knight was a surprise addition to the roster after a strong preseason.

This year, Knight's performance was solid enough that he did not need to participate in the final two preseason games. Despite this, Knight expressed uncertainty about his position, stating, "I want to say no, and that's the honest answer," regarding whether he felt secure in his roster spot.

He acknowledged the unpredictability of the NFL, having been cut three times previously, and emphasized that nothing is guaranteed for players outside of the top draft picks.

Knight was one of three running backs retained on the roster, joining Tyler Allgeier and rookie Jeremiyah Love. With James Conner starting the season on Injured Reserve, the Cardinals may rely heavily on Knight and Allgeier early in the season. Knight noted the potential of the offense under LaFleur's leadership, stating, "The offense, honestly, could be top of the league."

In addition to his running back duties, Knight showcased his skills on special teams last season, which helped him earn a spot on the roster. He admitted to being so focused on his performance that he lost track of the roster announcement date, only realizing it when family and friends reached out to congratulate him.

As the season approaches, Knight is preparing for his role, whatever it may be, as the Cardinals gear up for Week 1.
