An Extreme Heat Warning is currently in effect for Queen Creek, signaling severe and expected danger from high temperatures. The warning runs until August 3 at 8:00PM MST. Adding to the concern, an Air Quality Alert is also active, issued by the National Weather Service in Phoenix.
Current conditions reflect the intensity of this heat event. As of Thursday evening, the air temperature stands at 109F, with a feels-like temperature of 108F due to low humidity levels of 16%. The dew point is recorded at 54F under clear skies. Winds are light at 6 mph, with gusts reaching up to 7 mph.
Forecast for Tonight and Tomorrow
Temperatures will remain elevated through the night. Tonight, conditions will be mostly clear with a low near 83F. However, temperatures are expected to rise to around 86F overnight. Winds will shift to west southwest at around 5 mph.
Tomorrow brings even more intense heat. The sky will be sunny with a high near 113F. Heat index values could climb as high as 110F. Southwest winds will pick up slightly, ranging from 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. The chance of precipitation remains minimal at just 1%.
Looking ahead to tomorrow night, skies will return to mostly clear conditions. Lows will settle near 84F, before rising again to around 87F overnight. Winds will be variable from south southwest at 0 to 10 mph.
