Arizona State’s rivalry match carries an extra number to watch Thursday: 100.
Coach JJ Van Niel enters with 99 victories. A win over Arizona would make him the fourth coach in program history to reach the milestone and the fastest to get there, according to ASU’s October 13 preview.
The No. 8 Sun Devils host the Wildcats on October 15 at 7 p.m. MST, with ESPN+ carrying the match. ASU is 13–3 overall and 4–1 in the Big 12 after last weekend’s wins over ranked Colorado and TCU teams.
For East Valley fans attending, ASU says Lot 59 parking is free for the match; the parking structure remains paid. The university is encouraging supporters to wear gold.
A second ranked test follows Sunday, October 18, at No. 17 Kansas. That match starts at 10 a.m. Arizona time on ESPN.
