Companies operating in Arizona have pledged to generate 26,225 new positions and contribute over $109 billion in capital investments during the fiscal year that concluded on June 30, 2026. The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) released these figures alongside local economic development partners, noting that both the job creation and investment totals represent single-year records for the state. The projected roles carry an average annual salary of $81,368, a figure that exceeds the current state median wage.

This reporting period coincides with the 15th anniversary of the ACA’s establishment following the 2008 financial crisis. Since its founding in 2011, the agency and its partners have facilitated more than 1,428 distinct projects. These long-term efforts are estimated to result in over 338,000 new jobs and attract more than $304 billion in capital investment across Arizona communities.

Governor Katie Hobbs highlighted the state’s progress in generating employment that supports families. "Delivering the family-sustaining jobs and economic growth that are moving Arizona forward," Hobbs stated, pointing to developments in areas ranging from Phoenix and Southern Arizona to rural regions and other parts of the state. Sandra Watson, the CEO of the ACA, added that the state is providing "unprecedented economic opportunity statewide."

Expansion projects during fiscal year 2026 were distributed across 23 locations throughout Arizona. These sites include Buckeye, Chandler, Cochise County, Eloy, Gila Bend, Glendale, Goodyear, La Paz County, Litchfield Park, Marana, Maricopa, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Surprise, Tempe, Tolleson, Tucson, Waddell, Yavapai County, and Yuma. The distribution indicates a broad geographic spread of new industrial and commercial activity.

The reported numbers reflect the total projected impact of these commitments rather than immediate employment or capital deployment. The figures serve as an indicator of long-term economic trends and workforce development efforts within the state’s diverse regions.

Queen Creek, in Maricopa and Pinal counties southeast of Phoenix, is one of the fastest-growing towns in Arizona.
