Diamondbacks Reach Deals With 20 Members of 2026 Draft Class

Queen Creek, Arizona — The Arizona Diamondbacks announced agreements with 20 players from their 2026 draft class, a group that includes first-round catcher Ryder Helfrick.

The club’s July 20 announcement listed Helfrick, the 15th overall selection from Arkansas, among the signed players. Arizona Sports reported that his agreement was for $5.241 million, the assigned value for that selection.

Arizona also reached deals with several other early selections, including right-hander Blake Bryant, shortstop Carson Kerce and outfielder Brayden Dowd. The team’s release identifies 17th-round infielder Rylan Alaniz as the lone unsigned player in the class.

The draft group includes players from college and high-school programs. The official list shows 20 signed selections, with the individual agreements dated July 19.

For Arizona baseball followers in Queen Creek, the announcements establish most of the organization’s newest draft class before the next phase of their professional development.
