The Arizona Diamondbacks have surged back into the National League wild-card race, winning eight of their last 10 games as they enter a stretch that could shape their trade-deadline plans.

The run included one of the most dramatic wins of their season. On July 19, Arizona rallied from a 7-0 deficit to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 8-7, tying a franchise record for the largest comeback in team history. Max Kepler drove in the winning run with a walk-off double in the 10th inning.

The Diamondbacks now begin a four-city road trip spanning 11 days, with games against the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates and a makeup game against the Cardinals, all teams jostling with Arizona for a wild-card spot. Major League Baseball's trade deadline is August 3.
