Queen Creek, Arizona — Gas prices in the East Valley area averaged $4.3870 per gallon for regular unleaded on August 9, 2026, according to AAA, down from $4.4058 yesterday. That is down from $4.5060 a week ago and higher than $3.8217 a month ago.
The statewide average in Arizona stands at $4.3268, while the national average is $4.0121. Drivers in the East Valley area are paying above the state average and above the national average.
The East Valley average remains below its AAA recorded high of $5.7000. Regular prices are about 57 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.3313, drivers are paying about 106 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the East Valley area averages $5.5320 per gallon, AAA reported.
