The Town of Queen Creek will mark its anniversary with Founders’ Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Frontier Family Park, located at 20039 S. 220th St. The event is designed to bring residents together to recognize the community’s history and agricultural heritage, a tradition that has continued since the town incorporated in September 1989.

Admission to the celebration is free, though a $15 wristband is required for participation in specific activities such as relays, the Nerf Battle Zone, mini golf, and carnival games. These wristbands can be purchased on the day of the event at the Live Play Learn Ticket Booth, situated at the southwest corner of the multi-use fields.

Food and beverages will also be available for purchase from vendors.

The program features a variety of family-friendly options, including hands-on agricultural experiences and animal interactions in the FFA Zone, as well as interactive STEM activities in the 4-H Zone. Additional attractions include pie and watermelon eating contests, a mini golf course, and a head-to-head competition between the Queen Creek Fire & Medical and Police departments known as Battle of the Badge.

The event is presented by Earnhardt Queen Creek Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Earnhardt Chevrolet. Other community partners supporting the day include Banner Ironwood Medical Center, Grand Canyon Private Academy, Haydon, LG Energy Solution, Primrose School of Queen Creek West, SRP, Rock Point Church, Flatiron Church, Central Christian Church, Queen Creek 4-H, and Queen Creek High School FFA.

Organizers note that parking on-site is limited and increased traffic is expected in the area. Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time. A free shuttle service will be available from Central Christian Church at 22505 E. Ocotillo Road. The celebration is scheduled to take place regardless of weather conditions.

Further details and the latest updates regarding the event can be found at QueenCreekAZ.gov/FoundersDay. Residents interested in other local activities can visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/SpecialEvents or follow the Town’s social media pages on Facebook and X.
