Queen Creek Parks and Recreation has announced a schedule of events for July to mark National Park and Recreation Month. The nationwide observance focuses on the role of public spaces in fostering community health, connection, and wellness. This year’s theme, "The Power Of," emphasizes how recreation professionals and facilities create opportunities for belonging and physical activity.

The town’s programming highlights five core areas: connection, play, community gathering, nature access, and well-being. To illustrate these themes, the department is organizing specific activities for different age groups throughout the month.

Featured events include Water Balloon Day for children aged nine to twelve, a Back-to-School Bash, and Wibit Wednesdays, which feature an inflatable Action Tower. Teen residents can attend Rec Fest during Late Night at the Rec. That event includes a pop-up DJ, music, food, and beverages designed to facilitate social interaction.

Additional programming will take place at the Queen Creek Recreation and Aquatic Center. The celebration also extends to town parks, where pop-up events will offer games, activities, and popsicles. Residents and non-residents may participate in Burger Lab, a hands-on cooking class that requires advance registration.

Participation in many activities is included with a Queen Creek Recreation and Aquatic Center membership or day pass. The town offers membership tiers for individuals, families, seniors, youth, active military members, and veterans. Rates for these options are available on the town’s official website.

Non-residents are permitted to use the facilities by purchasing a day pass. This option is available when a non-resident is accompanied by a Queen Creek resident who holds an active membership or day pass. Each resident may bring up to two non-resident guests under this arrangement.

The complete schedule of Park and Recreation Month activities is posted on the Town of Queen Creek’s Park and Recreation Month webpage. Further information about parks and recreational opportunities can be found on the Town’s Parks and Recreation webpage. Updates on news and events are also shared via the Town’s Facebook page and X account. Non-emergency issues may be reported through the QC SeeClickFix webpage.
