Postino is expected to open a Queen Creek location later this fall at The Switchyard, adding another restaurant to the development at Ocotillo and Ellsworth Loop. The restaurant and wine bar will be the brand’s first location in the QC District.
The Switchyard site is on the northeast side of the Ocotillo and Ellsworth Loop intersection. Other dining and retail names planned there include Shake Shack, Snooze, Cava, Jeni’s and Blu Sushi.
The Queen Creek Postino will have 3,800 square feet indoors, with seating for 107 people. Plans also call for a 1,953-square-foot patio with room for 86 guests. Design elements listed for the location include a Zuru lamp partition, walnut wine walls, garage-style doors that roll up, and mid-century furniture from local vintage shops.
A custom art wall using old milk caps is planned as a reference to Queen Creek’s ranching-era history.
The menu will feature Postino items including bruschetta, panini, salads, charcuterie and shareable dishes, along with more than 20 wines served by the glass. The restaurant also plans to offer its daily happy hour, with $6 wine and beer pitchers until 5 p.m., as well as its Monday and Tuesday Bottle & Board deal for $25.
The Postino Bottle Club, which includes quarterly wine selections and member benefits, is also planned for the Queen Creek location.
