The Queen Creek Planning and Zoning Commission has moved forward with a proposal to expand the parking facilities for Carder Development. The commission voted 6-0 during its Wednesday meeting to recommend both a rezoning and a site plan to the Town Council.
The proposed project involves a 0.72-acre parcel of land situated immediately north of the company’s existing office building on Ellsworth Road. This specific plot is currently located within Maricopa County, outside the town limits.
Carder Development, a local real estate firm, submitted the requests to expand its parking lot onto this adjacent property. The Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the application and endorsed the changes before sending them to the Town Council for final consideration.
Chairman David Gilette was not present for the vote. No further details regarding the timeline for a Town Council decision or specific conditions attached to the rezoning were provided in the initial report.
