Arizona State Reveals Depth Chart for Season Opener Against Morgan State

Arizona State's football team has released its depth chart ahead of the season opener.

Arizona State University has announced its depth chart in preparation for the 2026 football season opener against Morgan State, scheduled for September 5 at 7 p.m. MST at Mountain America Stadium. The depth chart revealed no major surprises, with several positions featuring two players listed due to varying formations.

The special teams unit has seen competition, with two athletes designated for both kicker and punter roles. The offensive line also experienced intense competition during fall camp, leading to a solid first-team lineup that includes Tana Alo-Tupuola at center, Maki Stewart at left guard, and Jalen Klemm at right tackle.

The left tackle position is shared between Luke Baklenko and Champ Westbrooks, while Wade Helton and Rob Lapuaho are listed for right guard.

On the offensive side, Cutter Boley is set as the starting quarterback, with Kyson Brown and Marquis Gillis as the running backs. The receiving corps features Reed Harris at the X position, Omarion Miller at the F position, and either Jalen Moss or Jaren Hamilton at the Z position, along with Raiden Vines-Bright at the Y position. Ia are the tight ends, while the offensive line is rounded out by Baklenko or Westbrooks at left tackle, Stewart at left guard, Alo-Tupuola at center, Helton or Lapuaho at right guard, and Klemm at right tackle.

Defensively, the depth chart includes Roman Pitre or Emar'rion Winston at defensive end, C.J. Fite and Blazen Lono-Wong or Zac Swanson at defensive tackle, and Jalen Thompson at the other defensive end. The linebacker positions feature Clayton Smith, Owen Long, and Martell Hughes.

The secondary includes Rodney Bimage and Ashton Stamps as cornerbacks, with Montana Warren or Adrian "Boogie" Wilson at nickelback, and either Wilson or Jessiah McGrew at free safety. Lyrik Rawls or Montana Warren is listed as strong safety.

For special teams, Kanyon Floyd or Nick McLarty are listed as punters, while Carson Smith and Carston Kieffer are in contention for placekicker. Smith will handle kickoff duties, and the long snapper position is shared between Grayson Curtis and Tyler Wigglesworth. Kanyon Floyd is also noted as the holder, with Cory Butler as the punt returner and Jaren Hamilton as the kick returner.
