Kamsi Awaka, a four-star center in the 2027 recruiting class, has scheduled an official visit to Arizona for Sept. 25-26. He is expected to attend the Wildcats’ Red-Blue showcase in Tucson with five-star prospects Adan Diggs and Darius Wabbington.

Awaka is the younger brother of Tobe Awaka, and Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats have recruited him. The 2027 prospect told Joe Tipton of On3 that he also has visits planned to Michigan State and Michigan. Those schools, along with Arizona, are among his top five, which also includes UConn and Florida.

The 6-foot-10 Awaka plays for Blair Academy in New Jersey. He is ranked 41st nationally by 247Sports, 59th by ESPN and 31st in the Rivals rankings updated last week. His wingspan is listed at 7 feet, 4 inches.

During the Adidas 3SSB summer circuit, Awaka averaged 15 points while shooting 57%. He also recorded 3.9 offensive rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game. His free-throw shooting was 57% on six attempts per game.

Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports projects Awaka as someone who could contribute immediately as a rebounder and screener. Finkelstein also cited Awaka’s shot-blocking timing and defensive movement. Arizona had initially planned to host Diggs, Wabbington and five-star guard NaVorro Bowman Jr. for the showcase, but Bowman committed to UConn after visiting that school the previous week. Further details about Awaka’s recruitment were not provided.
