The Arizona Cardinals announced the re-signing of cornerback Starling Thomas V and 13 additional players to their practice squad on Monday. Thomas, who is recovering from an ACL injury, was among those cut from the 53-man roster after discussions with head coach Mike LaFleur and general manager Monti Ossenfort.
Thomas had previously started 22 games in 29 appearances for the Cardinals before his injury during the 2025 training camp. He was competing for a spot in a crowded cornerback group, with Kei'Trel Clark securing the last outside cornerback position.
Running back Evan Hull, who impressed with 107 rushing yards in the preseason finale against the Packers, also joined the practice squad after being claimed from the Texans earlier in the month. With the team trading Corey Kiner and placing James Conner on the IR-Return list, Hull may have opportunities to be elevated for game days.
The Cardinals also added tight ends Hunter Long and Shawn Bowman to the practice squad, while Teagan Quitoriano remains as an option. LaFleur noted that Quitoriano has performed well, providing depth to the tight end position.
The team did not claim any players off waivers on Monday, but there is a possibility of adding new players following further cuts from around the league. Linebacker Owen Pappoe was the only player claimed, joining the Tennessee Titans.
