Target has outlined plans for new retail locations across the United States, highlighting its ongoing investment in expanding its physical footprint. The company states that it evaluates various criteria when selecting sites, including community needs, site constraints, and proximity to existing stores. Target also notes that it collaborates with local officials and shoppers during the development process to ensure accessibility and affordability.
The retailer confirmed that a Target store is located within 10 miles of most American households. The new list of planned openings spans several states, with Arizona featuring three locations.
These include a store in Buckeye at the northeast corner of Interstate Highway 10 and Verrado Way, a 128,000-square-foot location in Casa Grande at 951 N. Promenade Pkwy, and a 148,000-square-foot site in Mesa Far E at the northeast corner of Highway 60 and Signal Butte Road.
In California, a new store is planned for Perris at 1688 N. Perris Blvd, covering approximately 150,000 square feet. Colorado will see two new locations: one in Denver Green Valley Ranch at the northwest corner of East 56th Avenue and Tower Road, and another in Firestone at 4358 City Centre Rd., both estimated at 150,000 and 128,000 square feet respectively.
Florida will host five new stores. Locations include Clearwater Countryside at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 19 and State Road 580; Cypress Creek Station in Fort Lauderdale at 6415 N. Andrews Ave.; Lake Nona on Lake Nona Boulevard; Trailwinds Village at County Road 466A and Seven Mile Drive; and Winter Haven at U.S. Highway 17-3rd Street SW and Avenue R SW.
Square footage for these Florida sites ranges from approximately 121,000 to 149,000 square feet.
Other states with confirmed openings include Georgia (Covington), Idaho (Meridian and Pocatello), Illinois (Round Lake Beach), Indiana (Terre Haute), Kentucky (Frankfort), Louisiana (Denham Springs), Massachusetts (Springfield), Michigan (Davison), Missouri (Farmington and University City), Mississippi (Tupelo), North Carolina (Fayetteville, Mebane, Myrtle Grove, and Selma), North Dakota (Fargo and Williston), New York (Bridgehampton), Ohio (Lima), and Pennsylvania (Hermitage).
