Queen Creek, Arizona — Gas prices in the East Valley area averaged $4.0880 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 16, 2026, according to AAA, up from $4.0080 yesterday. That is up from $3.8220 a week ago but lower than $4.3310 a month ago.
The statewide average in Arizona stands at $4.1240, while the national average is $3.9430. Drivers in the East Valley area are paying below the state average and above the national average.
The East Valley average remains below its AAA recorded high of $5.7000. Regular prices are about 24 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.3580, drivers are paying about 73 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the East Valley area averages $5.0250 per gallon, AAA reported.
