The report emphasizes Phoenix's established ecosystem, describing it as one of the leading locations in the country for aerospace and defense investment. Factors contributing to this status include a robust business climate and a diverse advanced manufacturing sector that appeals to both commercial and defense manufacturers, as well as electronics producers and technology companies.
The region benefits from a long-standing history in aerospace production and engineering, which has fostered a strong supply chain and collaboration opportunities among numerous firms. Additionally, the presence of military installations, such as Luke Air Force Base in the West Valley, enhances the area's appeal. Arizona State University also serves as a significant workforce supplier, further bolstering the local economy.
The report also points out the Valley's efficient freight infrastructure and reliable utilities as additional advantages for businesses in the aerospace and defense sectors.
