Motorists traveling between Queen Creek and Mesa are navigating altered traffic patterns due to ongoing construction in Mesa. The town of Queen Creek announced via its Facebook page that Ellsworth Road will operate with a single lane in each direction through the Germann Road intersection until October 2.
Crews are conducting work in the center median area of Ellsworth Road, specifically on the north side of Germann Road. This configuration requires drivers to share lanes during the construction period.
Despite the reduction in available lanes, left-turn movements for traffic traveling both northbound and southbound on Ellsworth Road at the Germann Road junction remain open. Drivers can still make these turns while the through lanes are restricted.
The lane restrictions are part of a broader road project in Mesa. The town of Queen Creek is informing residents and commuters about the changes to help them plan their routes during the construction window.
