The Arizona Cardinals are facing injury concerns with two of their starters as they prepare for their preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers. During a joint practice on Wednesday, right guard Isaiah Adams was absent due to a knee injury, although head coach Mike LaFleur indicated that the injury is not serious. LaFleur stated, "We kept him back.
He'll be day-to-day. He's got a little bit of a knee."
Adams did not travel with the team to Green Bay and was also missing from practice on Monday in Arizona, where Jon Gaines filled in at right guard.
Additionally, cornerback Will Johnson did not participate in Wednesday's practice, and the specifics of his injury remain unclear. This absence allowed Max Melton and Denzel Burke to compete for the starting position opposite Johnson.
With the season opener approaching in just over two weeks, the Cardinals hope both Adams and Johnson will recover in time to play. Further updates on their conditions are anticipated as the team moves forward in their preparations.
