In addition to the heat threat, an Air Quality Alert is also active, issued on July 6 at 8:42AM MST by the same office.

Winds are currently blowing from the west at 7 mph, with gusts reaching 6 mph. The sky remains clear.

Today will be sunny with a high near 113F. Temperatures are expected to fall to around 111F in the afternoon. Heat index values may reach as high as 110. West winds will range from 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is minimal at 2%. Overnight, skies will become mostly clear with a low around 83F. Temperatures will rise to around 85F during the night. South southeast winds will blow at 5 to 10 mph.
