Redfin's May 2026 market page reported 474 homes sold, compared with 462 a year earlier. Redfin's median sale price was $618,625, down 2.6% from a year earlier, and average days on market were 71 days, compared with 65 days last year.

Freddie Mac's Primary Mortgage Market Survey put the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage at 6.55% as of July 16, 2026, up from 6.49% a week earlier and below 6.75% a year earlier.
What changed from last year
Redfin's year-over-year sales count increased from 462 to 474. Realtor.com average days on market fell from about 60 days to 57 days. Redfin's median sale price was down 2.6% from a year earlier.
Realtor.com's June 2026 inventory figure and Redfin's May 2026 sold-home figure measure different parts of the market: active supply versus closed transactions. This report keeps those figures separate because they do not describe the same set of homes.
