The statewide average in Arizona stands at $3.9540, while the national average is $3.8230. Drivers in the East Valley area are paying below the state average and above the national average.
The East Valley average remains below its AAA recorded high of $5.7000. Regular prices are about 78 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.4110, drivers are paying about 45 cents more per gallon.
