The Arizona Cardinals are experiencing significant setbacks in their roster reconstruction as all four of their top draft picks are currently injured. This situation arises just weeks into the start of training camp under new head coach Mike LaFleur.
First-round pick Jeremiyah Love is out indefinitely due to an ankle injury, which is not a minor issue. His status for the start of the regular season remains uncertain, although there is hope he could return by Week 1.
Second-round pick Chase Bisontis has been placed on Injured Reserve after suffering an MCL injury in his left knee during a preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders, which will sideline him for the entire season.
Third-round pick Carson Beck, who had a promising preseason debut, is also dealing with an injury. After completing 15 of 19 passes and throwing a touchdown in the Hall of Fame game, Beck injured his ribs and has not practiced since. The specifics of his injury have not been disclosed, leaving his availability for upcoming practices and games uncertain.
Fourth-round pick Kaleb Proctor was placed on preseason Injured Reserve shortly after training camp began, having torn his meniscus during an Organized Team Activity session in June, which will also keep him out for the year.
